Elm trees

Elegant and stately trees with attractive branches, elm trees are valued for their shade as well as their aesthetic value. These popular hardwood trees come in many varieties, including ones that are native to North America. While each variety of the elm species has slightly different characteristics, they all tend to grow 31 to 37 meters tall with wide-spreading canopies for excellent shade. Elms are often targeted by pests like the Asian Longhorned Beetle. Fungi such as Dutch Elm disease can potentially kill the tree if not caught in time. To avoid losing your elm regularly pruning and spraying it will ensure that the tree continues to flourish and thrive for years to come.
